How best to die...

Reading through a couple other threads motivated me to ask this question, particularly with plenty of new age airsofters here that I have never had the pleasure of meeting.

The question is simple, you have died in an airsoft game, how do you prefer to communicate to other players of your new status as a dead man?

My line of thought is one of realism at the forefront. To me, yelling things like "I'm Hit" or "Out" not only takes away from the realism aspect, but also takes away tactical options. Over the many years I have played like this, there have been time after time when you'd shoot someone and they'd fall to the ground behind an object (wall, log, bunker, etc.) but you wouldn't know for sure that he was KIA or just behind cover. I've lost count how many times a dead guy saved our ass because no one would approach thinking the dead guy was just hiding.

Thoughts?

MIsfeed Galore

Hello all,

I recently purchased a nice little project gun to start tinkering with, and I'm having some extremely annoying issues with the gun. It operates perfectly, shoots accurately, and has an extremely high ROF given the right battery. The problem is the magwell/clip.

In order to even fire the gun, I have to hold the forward end of the clip up, pushing it against the magwell so that it will feed correctly. As you can imagine, this position is awkward when using on-rail optics. I've done some basic preliminary experiments, and they all have failed (tried to see if I can jimmy-rig it temporarily, taking the case off and determining if the hop-up case is causing a bad fit, etc.). The gun is a Combat Machine M4-A1, priced at 140 dollars from Airsoft GI. Like I said, this is a project gun.

Does anyone have any idea and/or share a similar problem?

With all due thanks,
entry1wound

Battery Connectors

I have decided to change out the connector's on my Aeg's as the existing mini tamiya connectors are starting to fail and I have a few guns that could benefit from new wiring. I'm on a somewhat limited budget and need at the minimum 3 female and 4 male connector's. I have given thought to Dean's but the availability of them is concerning as $15+ for about 7 connector's is a bit high and that is if they are in stock. I've also given thought to buying generic deans (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.10788) but I'm concerned about the quality and durability of such connectors. XT60's (which seem to be shielded 3.5mm bullet connector's) also look good but are larger and incompatible with standard dean connector's making battery changes a bit more of a pain if my battery fails in the field.

The real question I have is If anyone has any opinions on any of these and/or recommendations on other types of connector's.

KWA TO PRODUCE GBB VERSION OF KRISS VECTOR SMG

KWA TO PRODUCE GBB VERSION OF KRISS VECTOR SMG

City of Industry, CA – July 29, 2010 - KWA is pleased to announce an exciting partnership with KRISS Systems SA, designer and manufacturer of the KRISS Vector submachine gun. KRISS Systems SA, a Swiss global industry leader in firearm innovation, holds the patent for the unique Super V System found in the KRISS Vector.

Unlike conventional firearm designs, the KRISS Super V System redirects recoil forces to aid the user, rather than work against the user. Even with the powerful recoil of the .45 ACP round, the Vector "reduces felt recoil by as much as 70% and muzzle climb by as much as 95%!" This breakthrough design has been featured in popular television programs such as Future Weapons and Ultimate Weapons. It has also received numerous accolades from the staff writers of Guns and Weapons for Law Enforcement and Popular Science for revolutionizing firearms engineering. The KRISS Vector SMG is currently under evaluation by various special operations units worldwide to become a referenced weapon for Close Quarter Battle and Urban Warfare. With such advanced technology, an airsoft version is the natural step.

KWA has been granted an exclusive, worldwide license to design and produce GBB (Gas Blow Back) versions of the KRISS Vector, never before done within the airsoft industry. The first prototype of the Vector GBB will be unveiled at the 2011 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. The new airsoft gun will be 1:1 in dimensions and powered by KWA's advanced gas system technology; providing consistent and reliable operation KWA products are known for. Pricing and release dates will be announced in the future.

"Designing the GBB airsoft KRISS Vector SMG is a unique challenge that requires both innovative out-of-the-box thinking and strong Research and Development capabilities. Powered by precision engineering, high performing products and a passion to outperform, we entrusted KWA as the sole manufacturer of all our current and upcoming KRISS GBB airsoft products" said Christophe Guignard, Director of Marketing of KRISS Systems SA.

With unparalleled customer and warranty service, KWA strives to ensure that all of its products are of the highest quality and its customers are properly cared for. The introduction of the 2GX AEG (Airsoft Electric Gun) gearbox and the NS2 GBB system has set a new standard in airsoft technology.

About KWA USA

KWA USA is the exclusive North American importer and master distributor for KWA products, servicing the Americas. Based in City of Industry, California, KWA USA is dedicated to providing high performance products and exceptional service to the MILSIM and professional airsoft industry.
