Why did do what I did?

1) Slow day at work and a fellow senior member claimed it was "too quiet on here lately"
2) We have not had a truly epic trolling on here since Lucky Cheater's Multicam Bottoms thread in 2006.

It occurred to me, however, that this might be a good opportunity to show new people on why you don't want to be "that guy". Bushwookie also inadvertently did an excellent job of showing how you can gently try to guide some of the more precocious new members we get from time to time. Paul embodies a great image of how we as a sport would like to be perceived - polite, but trying to swerve the moron in the right direction at the same time. Also I learned why the Chinese went with a hooded site on the Type 56 AK (by the way Paul, screw you and your teenage brain that still soaks up everything it receives )

At the same time, if you're new to the sport/hobby, hopefully this shows you want you can expect if you post 20 topics your first day, do no research before asking basic questions, assume that your experience playing with your friends in your backyard makes you an expert, and pretend that you know everything, you'll get a shitty reputation pretty quick that is hard to repair.

I was looking at the OPP forum to see if any info had been posted for the Sping 2012 run, and i notice that you are now required to register every gun you bring (new to me, havnt been there in a while).

I can understand this after things like Fort Hood, and it dosent seem like a big deal, but reading the fine print it says that the info provided is subject to the "Blanket Routine Uses" Policy found here:

So after you give all your info to the government and go on record as owning at least X amount of airsoft guns, in a database thats availible to everyone, then what?

Is it a big deal? If New York one day, or even your county; decides to ban airsoft, can they access this database under the "Blanket Routine Uses" afforded to Law Enforcement, and then come knocking at your door? No highcaps (standards and real caps encouraged)
Radio Required
gun that takes m4 style mags
matching uniforms for a tan and green load out (not matching gear)
can work as a team
willing to consider some light training (learning some magpul tricks and such before a game, not training sessions of running laps or something, this isn't paintball)

This is for a group of guys who enjoy playing the more milsim style even if its not a theme of the event. People who don't mind doing things like the realistic death, dont run around with 3 highcaps and a dream and don't need to be a lone wolf thinking they are the "bestest evar". You dont need to be a great airsofter to join but you do need to be an honest player. I have no room for cheaters.
